Description
The specificity of the monoclonal antibody (MAb) against Renibacterium salmoninarum has been tested against a range of bacterial pathogens that infect fish, as well as a selection of bacteria found in the aquatic environment . The MAb was found to cross-react with Nocardia seriolae in ELISA. This pathogen results in a very different pathology (granuloma formation) in comparison to R. salmoninarum, enabling positive identification of R. salmoninarum by IHC using Product P03. The MAb is of an IgG1 isotype.
